Free guide ยท Ideas

Stop guessing what to post. Your audience already told you.

Every question in your comments and DMs is a video idea. This guide shows you how to collect them, sort them and turn them into 10 hooks in one sitting.

@customer_oneHow much does this cost?
@local_shopWorks for a small shop?
@another_ownerCan't I just do this myself?
@small_bizShow me a real one?
@new_followerI'm doing it all myself ๐Ÿ˜ฉ

Why this mattersThe best video ideas come from the people who already watch you.

When you guess, you make videos you think are interesting. When you use their questions, you make videos people already said they want. Their exact words also make better hooks than anything you'd write, because the next person thinks in those same words.

And when one person asks, lots more were wondering and didn't type it. The gold is rarely the top comment. "This is fire ๐Ÿ”ฅ" is nice. The longer comment with a question or a doubt in it is the one to keep.

Collect 20 real comments and DMs

Go through the comments on your last 10 posts and your DMs from the last 2 weeks. Add customer texts, emails and anything people ask you on the phone.

Copy only the ones that have a question, a doubt or a problem in them. Skip emoji-only comments and "great video." Keep their exact words, typos and all. That's the point.

Start a note on your phone called Questions. Any time someone asks you the same thing twice, add it.

Sort them and turn them into 10 hooks

Comments fall into 3 piles (see the cheat sheet below): questions, doubts that stop people from buying, and problems they're living with. Each pile makes a different kind of video. Let AI do the sorting:

Copy this into ChatGPT or Claude
Below are real comments and DMs from my audience. I run [YOUR BUSINESS] and my buyers are [WHO YOUR CUSTOMERS ARE].

1. Group them into themes. For each theme, tell me how many comments fit it and quote the best 2 in their exact words.
2. Label each theme as one of these: a question, a doubt that stops people from buying, or a problem they have.
3. Write 10 video hooks from the strongest themes. Use their words where you can. Each hook under 15 words. Mix styles: answer the question, call out the doubt, or say their problem back to them.
4. Under each hook, add one line on what I should say in the video.
5. Mark the 3 hooks most likely to bring in buyers, not just views.

Write like a real person talks. No hype words. Don't make up facts about my business.

The doubts pile is the money pile. Every doubt you answer in a video is one less reason for the next person to say no.
3

Film reply videos with the comment on screen

On both Instagram and TikTok you can reply to a comment with a video, and the comment shows on screen as a sticker. That sticker is your hook: viewers see a real person asked this.

  • Read the comment out loud in the first 2 seconds.
  • Answer it straight, in under 30 seconds. One answer, not five.
  • End with: "Got a question? Drop it below." That keeps the next round of ideas coming.
Rude comment? You can still use the question inside it. Answer the doubt, not the person.
4

Close the loop with the person who asked

When the video is up, reply to their comment or DM them: "You asked about this, so I made you a video." They feel heard, and people who feel heard tend to share and start talking to you.

Every new video brings new comments. That's next week's list. Done right, you never run out.

Cheat sheetThe 3 piles and what to film

Questions

Things they want to know. Film a straight answer.

"How much does this cost?"
"Does this work for a small shop?"

Doubts

Reasons they don't buy yet. Answer before they ask.

"Can't I just do this myself?"
"Can you show me a real one?"
"My partner would never go for it."

Problems

What they're living with. Say it back to them as the hook.

"I'm doing everything myself."
"90% of what I do, I shouldn't be doing."

Skip these

Nice to get, no video in them.

"๐Ÿ”ฅ๐Ÿ”ฅ๐Ÿ”ฅ"
"Great video!"
"Love this"
